Calls are received usually for enquiries related to old age homes, caregivers, day care centres, hospitals & doctors, elder care products, etc. These calls are generally made by callers who need these details looking for specific elder care services.

Few call samples (fictitious names):

  • Mr. Venkat called the helpline in Tamil Nadu to get information regarding a full time caregiver for his 80 year old mother who is bedridden. The call officer listened carefully to the requirement and politely connected him to the caregiver agency who can support.
  • Ms. Sushila called the helpline at Uttar Pradesh to enquire about the nearest daycare center for her 65 years father who has been diagnosed with dementia. Ms. Sushila was connected to the nearest functional daycare center, who supported them.
  • In Telangana, during the lockdown, Mr. Ram Babu called the helpline and informed that his uncle is stuck alone at his home and required urgent medication. The Call Officer noted all the details of the elder person, verified the prescription, and shared the details with the Field response officer. He arranged the medicine at his location.
