Besides the main four services (Information, Guidance, Emotional Support & Field Support), many calls are received for other support such as Covid related help, transportation, ration, medicine or any individual requirements.
A 52 years old elderly person called the helpline and stated that she had not been in a position to get ration due to unavailability of stock. She was short of groceries and broke down while narrating the same to the Response Officer. The Response Officer tried to calm her down, then enquired about her family details. It was learnt that she has two children but both were staying in village and she lived all by herself in Hyderabad. She had not taken food for almost two days and her only hope was to call the helpline seeking help. The Response Officer consoled her and assured that she would revert soon and ensured groceries was reached at her doorstep. The crying elderly person did calm down and thanked the officer profusely for extending a helping hand.
